The Child Development Associate (CDA) is a National Credentialing Program that provides instruction to individuals interested in working within the early childhood field. It is a comprehensive training program that encompasses all aspects of the fundamentals of child growth and development. The program enables individuals working in child care to continue preparation for national accreditation. On-site employment visits and reviews are necessary to complete credentials for CDA certification. This program features Infant/Toddler, Preschool and Family Child Care Certifications.

This program is for individuals who need to renew their Child Development Associate certification. Features include: 4.5 continuing education units; Infant/Toddler, Preschool and Family child Care recertifications; Membership in National Early Childhood Association; Update of First Aid Certification; and Networking with other child care professionals.

This program offers child development training that is required by mandated by New York State for all staff working in licensed child care and family child care settings. The goal is to raise the quality of child care by providing students with increased knowledge and skills to help them better serve children and their families.
