Using the standardized New York State curriculum, this program prepares individuals to work as a home health aide in either a home setting or an assisted living facility. Classroom theory is enhanced by laboratory practice and clinical experience.
Occupation Specific Tasks:
Home Health Aide duties include providing routine personal care and basic health care in the patient’s own home. Their clients primarily include elderly people and individuals with long-term illnesses and disabilities. Most home health aides are employed by hospitals and health care agencies, although some are self-employed.

High School Diploma or GED
